Top names don't see rise up leaderboard at Pebble Beach Pro-Am

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. — With apologies to PGA Tour traditionalists, here at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, we’ve moved “Moving Day” from Saturday to Friday.

For the big names, that is.

That’s because the heralded and highly-ranked players start things off at Spyglass Hill, traditionally the toughest of the three-course rotation here, and then on Friday get a date at the par-71 Monterey Peninsula where scoring opportunities are more abundant.

And for Sung Kang, they were. Nine birdies, one eagle, a blistering 11-under 60. Take a bow, young man. Oh, and take a share of first place, tied with Hiroshi Iwata.
