Top five amateurs among Hogan Award semifinalists

A list of the 10 semifinalists for the Ben Hogan Award was released Wednesday, with no major surprises.

The semifinalists, in alphabetical order: Gavin Green (New Mexico), Beau Hossler (Texas), Kyle Jones (Baylor), Lee McCoy (Georgia), Maverick McNealy (Stanford), Cheng-Tsung Pan (Washington), Jon Rahm (Arizona State), Ollie Schniederjans (Georgia Tech), Robby Shelton (Alabama) and Hunter Stewart (Vanderbilt). 

Pan is the first player ever to be named a semifinalist four years in a row. Schniederjans and Shelton were both semifinalists a year ago. 

The Ben Hogan Award is given annually to the top college and amateur player over a 12-month period.
