SPRINGFIELD, N.J. – Remember the ALS ice-bucket challenge that went viral on social media two years ago?
The campaign that motivated more than 17 million people to dump buckets of ice-cold water over their heads and post videos online raised enough money to help make an important research breakthrough, the ALS Association announced Monday. It touted the third ALS-related gene researchers have discovered using money from the Ice Bucket Challenge, the organization said.
