DALY CITY, Calif. – It’s a special week for Lydia Ko.
The Rolex world No. 1 is the defending champion at the Swinging Skirts Classic at Lake Merced Golf Club, where she will shed her official “juvenile” status. She becomes a legal adult Friday with her 18th birthday arriving.
“I get to have fun being a 17-year-old for only two and a half days,” Ko said. “It’s nearly coming to an end, but I’m pretty sure I’ll still have some fun even when I’m 18, or 30, whatever.
“I try and have fun. That’s always my goal.
