Tiger's agent says wrist is fine after striking tree root

For all the commotion caused by Tiger Woods’ wrist injury Sunday in the home stretch at the Masters, Woods’ agent says there is no need to worry.

Mark Steinberg told ESPN.com Wednesday by email that “the wrist is fine.” No other details of Woods’ play, or when the public might expect to see him tee it up again in competition, were mentioned in the ESPN article.

Woods struck the root of a tree with his club while playing a shot on the ninth hole of Augusta in the final round, and showed immediate discomfort. He finished the round – and closed the back nine in even-par 36 – but offered an eyebrow-raising explanation in his post-round interview.
