HAVEN, Wis. — Only a handful of people occupied the Kohler skybox near the 18th green before 8 a.m. on Saturday, but the public grandstand opposite it was full. No matter how ragged his game, Tiger Woods, like any headliner worth his marquee billing, can still command a crowd of everyday fans.
Woods finished his weather-delayed second round at the P.G.A. Championship, playing his last five holes in even par for a one-over 73 and a 36-hole total of four-over 148. For the third major in a row, Woods failed to make the cut, missing by two strokes the chance to play two more rounds at Whistling Straits.
