Tiger Woods bumped into another milestone July 4 on his steady slide down the world rankings.
Woods, who hasn’t competed since August and underwent two microdiscectomy procedures on his troublesome back in late 2015, tumbled beyond the top 600 in the Official World Golf Ranking, at No. 605.
It has been quite a descent for Woods, whose 79 victories include 14 major championships, ranking second all-time in both categories on the PGA Tour. He held the OWGR’s top spot for 683 weeks, including 281 in a row from mid-2005 to late 2010. He was No. 1 as recently as May 2014, after he won five times in 2013.
