Legendary golfer Tiger Woods underwent a procedure on Friday that he hopes will improve his chances to be successful on the PGA Tour next season.
Woods announced that he underwent microdecompression surgery of the lumbar spine to address a nerve impingement in his lower back. Woods added that he is "hopeful this will help alleviate the back spasms and pain I was experiencing throughout most of the 2024 season" and he is "preparing myself to get back to normal life activities, including golf."
