Tiger Woods hasn't been seen in a PGA Tour event since finishing 10th at the Wyndham Championship, but he will be making an early return for the 2015-16 wraparound schedule at the Frys.com Open in October.
Per NBC Bay Area on Twitter, citing Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, Woods will take part in the annual tournament that takes place from October 14 through 18 in Napa, California.
There have been rumblings for some time about Woods participating in this year's Frys.com Open. ESPN.com's Bob Harig reported in June that the 39-year-old was going to "make good on a commitment to commissioner Tim Finchem" that he made to take part in the tournament.
