Tiger Woods is officially a part of the American Ryder Cup leadership.
U.S. Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III announced Tiger Woods as one of his three assistant captains for the 2016 Ryder Cup on Wednesday at the Sea Island Resort in Sea Island, Ga., where the 21-time PGA Tour winner hosts the RSM Classic.
Woods, who has played in seven Ryder Cups and eight Presidents Cups, was named as an assistant captain in 2016 along with Steve Stricker and Jim Furyk. Tom Lehman was already announced as an assistant captain earlier this year.
“I’d like to thank Davis for his confidence in me and for my selection as a Ryder Cup Vice Captain.
