NASSAU, Bahamas -- An early surge up the leaderboard stalled for Tiger Woods on Saturday as he struggled on the back nine at the Hero World Challenge.
Then again, who expected him to make a run at the leaders in his return to competitive golf after 15 months?
After birdieing the first three holes at Albany Golf Club and four of the first five overall, Woods had difficulty regaining the rhythm that saw him play the second round without a bogey. He had trouble staying out of the course's abundance of waste areas, and he bogeyed consecutive holes on the back nine to fall out of contention.
