Several PGA Tour pros and top amateurs will compete in a 54-hole fundraising tournament next week in the Dallas area, GolfChannel.com has learned.
The Maridoe Samaritan Fund Invitational is set to run Tuesday-Thursday at Maridoe Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas, and its 72-player field will include Tour pros Viktor Hovland, Scottie Scheffler and Harry Higgs, as well as former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, former NBA guard Deron Williams and University of Texas teammates Pierceson Coody, Parker Coody and Travis Vick.
Jordan Spieth, who is among the dozens of tour pros who are members at the club, is also expected to be in attendance, though a PGA Tour players advisory council meeting on Tuesday could keep him from competing, according to event organizers.
