ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – Of the 16 players with ties to Sea Island Resort that are in this week’s field at the RSM Classic, Kevin Kisner is not counted among that group, although he is at least a temporary convert.
Kisner, who leads the RSM Classic by three strokes with a 54-hole tournament record 16-under 196 total, has been living on St. Simons Island since he began building a new house back home in Aiken, S.C.
Kisner said torrential rains this fall have slowed the construction of his new house, which was supposed to be ready before next year’s Masters, and he and his family have been living in the coastal Georgia enclave since October and practicing at nearby Frederica Golf Club.
