NORTON, Mass. – With post-Tropical Cyclone Hermine approaching the New England coast, officials at the Deutsche Bank Championship have adjusted Monday’s tee times to attempt to avoid the worst of the storm.
Players will be sent off the first and 10th tees in threesomes starting at 7 a.m. (ET), with the final group scheduled to tee off at 8:50 a.m. If there are no delays because of the weather, the event should end around 2 p.m.
“The best thing to do is to start early off two tees. That way, if we do get shut down, we're going to be in a situation where we can come back out, have a little time to finish,” said Mark Russell, a vice president of rules and competitions for the PGA Tour.
