TaylorMade Golf announced Wednesday that it has agreed to equipment contract extensions with both world No. 1 Jason Day and world No. 2 Dustin Johnson.
The news is a big coup for TaylorMade, which Adidas has been actively attempting to sell since May.
Day originally signed with TaylorMade in 2006, and his relationship with the company has helped him rise to the top of the world rankings and earn his first major title last year at the PGA Championship. While there were reports last week that the 28-year-old Aussie had signed a shoe and apparel deal with Nike, he tweeted shortly after the announcement that he'll be staying put from an equipment perspective:
