Tait: European Tour's joint venture with Asian Tour a win-win deal

New European Tour chief executive Keith Pelley believes the Asian market can bring even more money into European Tour coffers than it already has. It’s one of the reasons the Canadian has signed a new joint venture between the European Tour and Asian Tour.

Eighteen days into his role, 51-year-old Pelley announced the formation of a new joint venture today that will, according to the official press release, provide “an innovative joint vision for the future of professional golf.”

For “joint vision,” read more co-sanctioned tournaments, closer union between European and Asian Tour members and, most importantly, more prize money.
