BILOXI, Miss. - Kevin Sutherland made a 15-foot birdie putt on the par-4 18th for a 3-under 69 and a three-stroke lead Saturday in the PGA Tour Champions' Rapiscan Systems Classic.
Tied for the first-round lead with Marco Dawson after an opening 65, Sutherland now sits in first all alone at 10-under 134. Dawson was second after a 72 in the windy round at Fallen Oak.
''I was very fortunate to shoot the score I did,'' Sutherland said. ''I went through some bouts of trying to find my swing a little bit, but I made some good saves and kind of kept the round together and hit a few good shots and made some putts.
