The PGA Tour has decided to move up final-round tee times for the RBC Heritage on Sunday in an effort to avoid "the possibility of strong afternoon thunderstorms."
Players will go off split tees in threesomes starting at 7 a.m. ET, with the leaders teeing off at 9 a.m. ET.
Forecasts have thunderstorms moving into the area between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday and lasting until 6 p.m, with rainfall is expected to continue thereafter.
A five-hour final round would see the final groups ideally wrapping up their rounds just before the afternoon storms begin.
