Add the Sun Belt Conference to the list of conferences that will use match play to decide its champion this spring. The Sun Belt Conference joins Conference USA as the only two leagues that use match play to crown a champion.
The format changes to the men’s golf championship were decided on and announced at the recent Sun Belt Conference winter athletic director meetings.
The championship, which will be played April 24-27 at the Raven Golf Course at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Miramar, Fla., will include 54 holes of stroke play on Sunday through Tuesday.
