The wraparound fall can be a good time for bigger names to begin their rise back up after a significant fall, and so far Nick Watney is doing just that.
The 34-year-old American shot a 5-under 66 on Friday at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, the second tournament of the 2015-16 PGA Tour season, to post 9 under and move within one of the lead. For the moment, only Tyler Aldridge at 10 under (64-68) sits ahead of Watney at TPC Summerlin.
In fact, four straight birdies pushed Watney to 11 under with three holes to go before back-to-back bogeys on Nos.
