Steve Stricker missed the cut at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, ending his run of 36 straight made cuts that was the best active streak on the PGA Tour.
Stricker completed the final three holes of his second round Saturday morning, ending with a birdie on the par-5 18th. The veteran carded rounds of 69 and 72, but with ultra-low scoring at TPC Louisiana he still fell one shot short of the cut line, which was projected at 4-under 140.
Stricker was making just his second start since undergoing hip surgery in December.
