It’s official.
Azahara Munoz and Beatriz Recari won’t make it to the Toto Japan Classic for their first-round tee times Friday morning. They’re still stranded in Bali, forced to withdraw from the LPGA event with the airport in Bali closed for a third consecutive day because of a volcanic eruption that is spewing ash more than two miles into the sky. They were on the Indonesian resort island playing the Lexus Cup corporate outing this week, but they have been unable to get out since Tuesday night.
“I’m pretty upset about the situation, because I was really looking forward to playing in Japan again,” Munoz told GolfChannel.
