GAINESVILLE, Va. – The horn blew at Quicken Loans National on Thursday just before the tournament host was about to tee off.
Tiger Woods was scheduled to tee off in Round 1 at 12:55 p.m. ET, but thunderstorms rolled in and halted play at 12:50. Players were brought in off the course.
In anticipation of the bad weather, players were able to lift, clean and place this morning at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, and many took advantage.
Justin Leonard and Retief Goosen were on their last holes of the day when play was called, and both are leading at 8 under par, along with Ryo Ishikawa, who has four holes left.
