Through 18 holes at Baltusrol, the Champion Golfer of the Year is the new favorite to become the PGA champion.
Following a 3-under 67 Thursday, Henrik Stenson jumped to 5/1, giving him the shortest odds to raise the trophy on Sunday, according to the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook.
He's followed closely by world No. 1 and defending champion Jason Day, who posted 2-under 68, at 6/1. Next up, there's 2010 champ Martin Kaymer at 10/1, Rickie Fowler at 12/1, and two-time major winner Jordan Spieth and first-round leader Jimmy Walker at 15/1.
Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy, the 7/1 favorite just 24 hours ago, is down to 40/1 after a first-round 74.
