Brett Stegmaier slept on the 18-hole lead at the Small Business Connection Championship, and apparently it didn't faze him.
The 32-year-old fired a 4-under 68 on Friday at River Run Country Club to keep the outright lead into the weekend. Stegmaier, who opened in 63, birdied two of his first three holes during the second round and never made a bogey as he reached 13-under and stood one clear of the field.
In fact, the former Gator has not made a single bogey in 36 holes.
“I really don’t think I was close to making a bogey all day," Stegmaier said.
