Stanford wins home event; UCLA's Bronte Law takes medal

Stanford posted a final-round, 5-under 279 to seal a victory Tuesday at the Stanford Intercollegiate.

The Cardinal, ranked ninth in the nation by Golfweek, entered the day three shots clear of 12th-ranked UCLA, but the Bruins could only put together a closing 284 and finished third at 3 over, one shot behind second-place and top-ranked USC and eight shots behind Stanford, which ended 54 holes at 5-under 847.

Shannon Aubert led the way for the Cardinal, shooting 72-67-71 for a 3-under 210 total, five behind medalist Bronte Law of UCLA. Law fired a final-round, 3-under 68 to finish three shots clear of Pepperdine's Marissa Chow.
