BRADENTON, Fla. – Stanford's Mariah Stackhouse edged Baylor's Hayley Davis in 19 holes Wednesday at Concession Golf Club to provide the winning point as the Cardinal won their first NCAA women's golf championship.

Stackhouse, a junior from Riverdale, Ga., was 2 down and dormie heading to the 17th tee. She won the par-5 17th with a two-putt birdie and won the par-4 18th with a 15-foot birdie putt, forcing a sudden-death playoff with the teams tied 2-2 in the match-play final.

Stackhouse completed the comeback with a par at the par-4 10th when Davis, a senior from Wimborne, England, missed a 3-foot putt.
