Justin Leonard opened the OHL Classic at Mayakoba Playa del Carmen, Mexico, with a six-under-par 65 to share the lead with Aaron Baddeley, Shawn Stefani and Derek Fathauer. Leonard played bogey-free at El Camaleón before wind and rain arrived, stopping play for 1 hour 14 minutes. The first round was suspended because of darkness, and 21 players did not finish.
