Jamie Donaldson of Wales won the Thailand Championship for his first title of the year, beating Clément Sordet of France and the defending champion, Lee Westwood of England, by three strokes at Amata Country Club in Chonburi.
Donaldson, ranked 68th, rallied from a two-shot deficit entering the final round to shoot a seven-under-par 65 for an overall 21-under 267. The victory gave Donaldson a berth in next year’s British Open.
