NASSAU, Bahamas – According to the Official World Golf Ranking math, Jordan Spieth will begin 2016 ranked No. 1 after overtaking the top spot with his victory at the Tour Championship.
“It's a nice kind of thing to have going for you into the next season,” he said on Wednesday at the Hero World Challenge. “I feel like we've earned it this year. Not that Jason [Day] or Rory [McIlroy] haven't, but going into next year, it would be a nice goal to try and maintain it as long as we can.
