Spieth using wins, not close losses, as motivation

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Jordan Spieth won the Masters last month wanting to redeem himself.

Though there is the same kind of history at The Players Championship after he came up short in the final round last year, Spieth isn’t seeking redemption this week.

Spieth took the lead early in the final round of the Masters last year but stumbled coming home. He erased the bad memory winning it this year. He went into the final round of The Players last year tied for the lead, but he couldn’t finish, tying for fourth with Martin Kaymer winning.
