KAPALUA, Hawaii – After all of the pressure shots Jordan Spieth faced last season, he was still nervous Thursday on the first tee at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions.
“It is one of the only first tee shots I still get nervous on is the first one of the season. So it's always nice to feel that rush there,” he said.
Spieth made par at the first hole and appeared to pick up where he left off last season with a birdie at the second on his way to a first-round 66 which left him one stroke off the lead.
