Spieth going back to major-winning irons

NORTON, Mass. – Jordan Spieth confirmed he is going back to the irons that won him the Masters and the U.S. Open.

A week after switching to a set of prototype Titleist 716 AP2 irons and missing the cut at The Barclays, he’s back to the 714s for this week’s Deutsche Bank Championship.

“I figured it would be no problem,” Spieth said of going to the new irons last week. “And then I just felt that they were sliding through the turf a little different, and the look was a bit of an adjustment.
