At one point Friday afternoon, Jordan Spieth held the lead at the Crowne Plaza Invitational, but a poor stretch on the back nine at Colonial Country Club sent him 14 spots down the leaderboard as he heads into the weekend.
Spieth, 21, carded a 3-over 73 Friday in Fort Worth, Texas, after playing his final five holes in 5 over. He co-led through 18 holes, but now trails 36-hole leader Kevin Na by seven shots as moving day approaches.
"A couple bad swings was all it was," said Spieth, who made two bogeys and a triple bogey during that five-hole stretch.
