DORAL, Fla. – Following his first missed cut in nearly six months two weeks ago in Los Angeles and playing a golf course that he’s never performed particularly well on, Jordan Spieth wasn’t going to let a late miscue ruin what was an otherwise solid round.
The world No. 1 bogeyed his final hole (No. 9) after missing the green with his tee shot for a 3-under 69 and a share of eighth place.
“That was a poorly played hole [No. 9]; I could certainly have controlled and finished better,” said Spieth, who in two previous trips to South Florida has finished tied for 17th and 34th.
