Erika Brennan has been named Southern Mississippi's head women's coach, the school announced May 13.
Brennan replaces Julie Gallup, who retired at the end of the spring season after 15 years.
Brennan spent five years as head coach at St. Leo, a Division II power in Dade City, Fla. She also served as an assistant at Tennessee. Brennan is a 2006 graduate of Western Carolina, where she played golf for the Catamounts.
Southern Miss tied for ninth in the 11-team Conference USA Championships this spring and finished the season at No. 190 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings.
