Lee Slattery has experienced just about everything in his career. His M2M Russian Open victory, his second European Tour win, proves success comes to those prepared to go through the trials and tribulations that come with being a tournament professional.
Slattery fired a final-round, 2-under 69 to post a 15-under 269 winning total. He won by one shot over Argentina's Estanislao Goya. David Horsey finished third at 13 under. A quartet of players including Pablo Martin and James Heath finished joint fourth.
The 37-year-old Englishman makes a significant move on the European Tour money list. Slattery was 120th before he arrived in Russia.
