Skarpnord medalist at LPGA 2nd stage Q-School

Norway’s Marianne Skarpnord cruised to medalist honors at the second stage of the LPGA Qualifying Tournament on Sunday as 84 players advanced to the final stage Nov. 30-Dec. 4 at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.

The top 20 finishers at final stage will earn LPGA membership for the 2017 season.

With a final-round 1-under 71 at Plantation Golf & Country Club in Venice, Fla., Skarpnord finished at 11-under 277, five shots clear of second. Bronte Law of England, the world's No. 2-ranked amateur, finished second at 6-under 282, while the 2015 U.S. Girls’ Junior runner-up, Angel Yin of Arcadia, Calif.
