UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – Prepare for fireworks in Saturday’s final pairing at the U.S. Open.
Patrick Reed, 24, and Jordan Spieth, 22, have already produced plenty of excitement as partners in the 2014 Ryder Cup and head-to-head in two of the most entertaining playoffs on the PGA Tour of recent vintage.
Spieth, the reigning Masters champ, posted a 67 Friday morning at Chambers Bay while Reed returned a 69 in the afternoon to share the 36-hole lead at 5-under 135.
