HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – On paper, this should be the layup. At 7,101 yards, Harbour Town was the 11th shortest course on the PGA Tour in 2014, but short doesn’t always equate to easy.
The home to the RBC Heritage ranked ninth out of 48 courses last year in difficulty which, at least to a player like Kevin Kisner, is what makes it one of the circuit’s best.
“It’s nice to see a place where you need to work the ball instead of standing on a tee and seeing who can hit it the furthest,” said Kisner, who carded an early 68 in blustery conditions on Thursday.
