Shirt struggles: Wie wears uniform in victory

She sat out the morning foursomes Friday at the Solheim Cup but was paired with good friend Danielle Kang in afternoon fourballs with the U.S. trailing by a point.

Wie couldn’t wait. Kang had won her match, and both were chomping at the bit to lead the red, white and blue in the first match of the session.

Kang was on fire. She made everything she looked at. Wie played well, too, and made four birdies.

But something was off and Wie never realized it; not until well after she and Kang dispatched of Jodi Ewart Shadoff and Madelene Sagstrom, 3 and 1.
