Benjamin Shipp of Duluth, Ga., and Won Jun Lee of Wesley Chapel, Fla., each shot 4-under 66 Tuesday to grab a share of the first-round lead at the AJGA FootJoy Invitational.
Shipp, a North Carolina State commit for the Class of 2016, bogeyed his second hole at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C., but played his last 14 holes in 5 under with six birdies. Lee, one of the top 2017 recruits who has yet to commit to a school, had just one bogey to go with five birdies.
Illinois commit Michael Feagles and Auburn commit Andrew Kozan share third place at 2 under with Garrett Barber and Shrish Dwivedi.
