WOBURN, England – Shanshan Feng sprinted to the first tee Thursday at the Ricoh Women’s British Open and shouted, “I’m here!”
“I wanted to make sure the people see me,” she said. “I want to make sure they know that I’m on time.”
Thirty seconds later, Feng knocked one down the middle, albeit a bit shorter than usual. The entertaining Feng said she miscalculated the amount of time it would take to shuttle from one area to the next on Woburn Golf Club’s vast facility. She took a shuttle to the putting green, then another to the range and a third to the first tee.
