It's been 23 months but Sergio Garcia is finally a champion again.
His triumph occurred halfway across the world in Vietnam, but Garcia got it done. The Spaniard parred the second extra hole in a four-man playoff Sunday to capture the Ho Tram Open, earning a cool $270,000 in the process. Garcia beat out Lin Wen-tang, Himmat Rai and Thaworn Wiratchant for the title.
It had been several close calls for Garcia since he last won at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters in January 2014. That stretch in included seven runner-up finishes without a triumph.
Now, though, Garcia finally has his 23rd career victory.
