Last week, Sebastian Munoz missed the cut at the Panama Claro Championship in his Web.com Tour debut. Sunday, he became the first-ever Colombian player to win on the tour. And he did it in his hometown.
Talk about a whirlwind of a week.
Munoz received a sponsor’s invite to play in the Club Colombia Championship at Bogota Country Club and didn’t let anybody down, cruising to 12 under and holding a three-stroke lead after 54 holes.
Munoz’s up-and-down final round, which saw four bogeys and four birdies, came down to a 3-foot birdie putt for the win, and a beer shower after he sank it to end the round even par.
