The charges filed against world No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler related to his arrest before the second round of the PGA Championship two weeks ago have been dropped.
According to Golf Channel's Todd Lewis, the prosecutor in Louisville, Kentucky, dropped all four charges Scheffler was facing Wednesday.
ESPN's Mark Schlabach reported that Scheffler was arrested after going around traffic in an effort to get to the entrance of Valhalla Golf Club. Following a run-in with a police officer, he was charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving, and disregarding traffic signals from an officer directing traffic.
