Scott bounces back, makes cut at Colonial

Disaster has officially been averted for Adam Scott at the Crowne Plaza Invitational.

After opening his title defense with a shaky 2-over 72, the Aussie appeared in danger of a rare missed cut - and coming off an early exit last week at the Wells Fargo Championship, potentially his first run of back-to-back missed cuts since June 2010.

Those concerns were quickly allayed, as Scott carded a bogey-free 66 to not only make the cut but move onto the fringe of contention at Colonial Country Club.

Scott birdied each of his first two holes, made it around the "Horrible Horseshoe" unscathed and added birdies on Nos.
