Gleneagles will host the Solheim Cup in 2019, marking the third time Scotland will be home to the biennial women’s competition between the United States and Europe.
The Ladies European Tour made the announcement of its selection Thursday.
The Scottish bid won out in the final process over Sweden’s bid to host at the Bro Hof Slott Club outside Stockholm.
“It was an extremely close decision,” LET chief executive Ivan Khodabakhsh said.
The PGA Centenary Course at the Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire was also host to the Ryder Cup last year.
