ATLANTA – Although the Player of the Year award, and to a lesser degree the Rookie of the Year award, has received most of the focus this week at the PGA Tour’s season finale there are other post-season races to consider.
The Byron Nelson Award is given to the player with the lowest adjusted scoring average with at least 50 rounds. Currently, Jordan Spieth (68.98) has a slight lead over Jason Day (69.16) in adjusted scoring average, but that could change this week at East Lake.
Day can also overtake Spieth in the Arnold Palmer Award race, which is given to the season’s top money winner.
