Nobody can ever say Sam Saunders isn't tough.
The 28-year-old competed in the Hotel Fitness Championship last week and posted an admirable T-4. It was a fast start to the Web.com Tour Finals, as Saunders hopes to regain full status on the PGA Tour in 2015-2016 after finishing 137th in FedEx Cup points this season.
Impressive enough showing, but then consider that, less than a month ago, Saunders took a fall while riding an electric scooter, suffered an epidural hematoma and spent his next two nights in intensive care with frightening injuries.
“I had a fractured skull, a brain bleed,” Saunders told PGATour.
